A Bloomingdale homeowner converted a bonus room corner into a custom wet bar — floating shelves, tile backsplash, undermount sink and mini-fridge cabinet.
The Challenge
The homeowner had an entertainment bonus room and wanted a wet bar in the corner — a sink for rinsing glasses, a mini-fridge for drinks, floating shelves for bottles and backsplash tile. The corner had a water supply stub-out from a prior owner's plan that was never built out.
Our Solution
We built a base cabinet to house the mini-fridge, installed an undermount stainless bar sink in a quartz top, connected the supply and drain to the existing stub-outs, tiled the backsplash in a dark slate mosaic, and installed 3 floating walnut shelves above.
The Result
The bonus room is now a proper entertainment space. The wet bar is a frequent talking point when the homeowners host gatherings.

Questions About This Project
Does a wet bar require a permit in Brandon?
For connecting to existing stub-outs (not running new supply lines), no permit is typically required. New plumbing runs would require a licensed plumber and permit. We assess the existing conditions at the estimate visit.
