A Tampa Palms master bath was transformed with 48×24 porcelain, a freestanding soaking tub, double floating vanity and LED cove lighting.
The Challenge
The 1998 Tampa Palms home had an original Jacuzzi tub that had never worked properly, a single-sink vanity with a cultured marble top, and dated 4×4 ceramic tile throughout. The couple wanted a freestanding tub, a large walk-in shower and a double vanity — a full gut.
Our Solution
We removed everything to bare studs and concrete slab. The shower was rebuilt with a Schluter system, 48×24 polished porcelain walls and a 12×24 shower floor with a center drain. The freestanding tub sits on a large-format porcelain floor and connects to a floor-mounted filler faucet. Two 36" floating vanities with quartz tops replaced the original single unit. LED cove lighting was installed above the vanities.
The Result
One of the most dramatic transformations we've done — the owners called it life-changing. The bathroom photographs beautifully and was used in the listing when they sold the home 2 years later at a significant premium over neighborhood comps.
