Kitchen Faucet Upgrade in Brandon, FL

Builder-grade faucet replaced with a Delta pull-down in FishHawk Ranch — done in 45 minutes.

Plumbing

A FishHawk Ranch homeowner upgraded their builder-grade kitchen faucet to a Delta pull-down spray model — new supply lines and updated shutoff valves in one visit.

The Challenge

The original builder faucet had been dripping from the spout for 6 months. The homeowner decided to replace rather than repair and chose a Delta Leland pull-down spray model from the hardware store.

Our Solution

We shut off the supply at the angle stops, checked that the shutoff valves operated properly (they did — 2015 construction has good valves), removed the old faucet and supply lines, installed the new Delta Leland per the installation instructions with new braided steel supply lines. Total time: 45 minutes.

The Result

Clean install. No dripping faucet. The pull-down spray head works on day one exactly as intended.

Work Completed

  • Shut off at angle stops — verify stops operate
  • Remove old builder faucet and supply lines
  • Install Delta Leland pull-down faucet
  • New 12" braided steel supply lines
  • Connect spray hose to supply valve
  • Turn on, test for leaks, test all spray modes

Questions About This Project

Should I replace the shutoff valves when replacing a kitchen faucet?

If the valves are more than 15 years old or show any signs of corrosion, yes. We check valve condition during every faucet job and advise honestly if replacement is warranted.
