This is northeast Hillsborough's rural side: an old citrus-and-farming community wrapped around Lake Thonotosassa, the county's largest natural lake, with Hillsborough River State Park and the Flatwoods and Morris Bridge trails just up the road. Housing here is spread out and mostly older — 1960s–90s ranch homes and manufactured homes on acreage, well-and-septic setups, pole barns, detached workshops and horse properties along Harney, Stanley, Cork and Knights — plus newer subdivisions filling in near I-75 and Fowler.
